For the second time in the last 100 years, the Old Freo Synagogue will resound with the voice of the Shofar on Rosh Hashannah! Jewish Spirituality Australia will be able to share the blessing of welcoming the New Year in the Oldest Shuel in Western Australia. Since 1908, High Holidays have only been celebrated in the Shuel once (by our Nefesh Chavurah in 2013). We’ve celebrated Chanukkah, Shabbat, Yom Kippur, one wedding and one Bar Mitzvah in the Synagogue – each the first since the building left the hands of the Jewish Community early in the last Century. Soon, you can be part of the Second New Year celebration at the Shul in 100 years! Find out more here – watch for more details to follow and celebrate your New Year in Freo’s Old Shuel!!
